Vanessa Bush

Co-Owner

With a background in writing, marketing, and bringing women together, Vanessa has found a sweet spot as the owner of Boise Mom. Vanessa is married to her high school sweetheart, Nate, and they have three kids. When she is not chauffeuring children about town, Vanessa works as the part-owner of an advertising agency, enjoys volunteering at church, loves watching college football, and drinks a little too much coffee. She is passionate about connecting women with each other, loving her people, and finding the good in her place.

Lauren Hall

Co-Owner

Lauren has a background in marketing and advertising. She is passionate about bringing people together in a meaningful way, and that's what brought her to Boise Mom. Raising two kids as a young mom she realized that her background in marketing could be put to good use connecting moms together in the community. She loves to travel, find new foods to love, and spend afternoons in the yard or outside.

Alana McCarraher

Site Manager

Alana McCarraher is the proud mom of two daughters, Maddie (2009) and Charlotte (2013). Her family moved to Boise in 2020. They love its tight-knit community, accessibility to the outdoors, and small-town feel with big-city amenities. Alana specializes in residential real estate, selling houses in the Treasure Valley and cabins in the surrounding mountains. She’s thrilled to be the new site manager for Boise Mom! Alana enjoys donating her time to organizations that build stronger families. She volunteered as a La Leche League leader for six years when her girls were younger and is now active in their school PTAs. Alana loves exploring new places, skiing, yoga, hiking with her golden retriever Sugar, and morning coffee dates with her husband.

Jaclyn Burns

Meet Jaclyn, a Boise native through and through. She is a SAHM and a Realtor specializing in first time home buyers. After spending 4 years in Europe, Jaclyn married the love of her life, Tom. They have a daughter named Kennedy whom is bravely battling a VSD (small hole in her heart). Jaclyn enjoys exploring Boise's greenbelt, sampling local brews, and spending time outdoors with her family. Being an introverted extrovert, she is the life of the party until it’s time to recharge her batteries. With Jaclyn around you can ensure there are always good vibes and laughter- lots of laughter.

Margo Tapia

Project Manager

Margo is a mother of three who has a passion for the great outdoors and a love for connecting people with things to do in the community. Margo and her husband take the kids on road trips often, go on evening family walks, and love biking, hiking and running. Margo's other hobbies include yoga, buying local, relaxing with lavender infused products, and indulging in self care at local hidden gems. She is excited to help connect local moms in Boise!

Paige Pacini

Paige is a mom to three hilarious, energetic boys. In her pre-kid life, Paige worked as a licensed mental health counselor, but she shelved her empathetic listening and insightful questions to change diapers, race cars on the kitchen floor, and mediate toddler wrestling matches. While Paige loves to be there for (almost) every moment with her children, she also loves to get away and connect with other moms for dinner or take a walk outside. Paige is married to her high-school sweetheart, Ben, and they work together to raise their three sons with lots of laughter and lots of love.

Thy Harelson

Social Media Manager

Thy (tee) has 2 beautiful boys (2014 & 2017) and has lived in Boise since 2011 and will never move away. Her husband and kids love how accessible outdoor adventures are here in town, whether it's hiking the foothills, playing in the river, camping, or skiing. Thy was an elementary school teacher for 10 years and now spends her time managing volunteer programs for the boys' elementary school and is very active in the school parent organization as their communications chair. She enjoys meeting up with friends, volunteering, and hopes to write her first children's book one day.

Adriana grew up in Ketchum, Idaho and absolutely loves living in Boise with her husband, Phil and chihuahua, Lizzy. She has two children: her creative daughter Myla and her fun pandemic boy, Oskar. As a family, they enjoy trying new things from rock climbing to roller skating to new restaurants to different parks. If the sun is shining, you will find her outside soaking up rays!

Brianna Bustos

Brianna grew up in Southern California before moving to Boise as a teenager. She then spent about 10 years away from Boise, attending Utah State University and spending time abroad, including living in Mexico, Argentina, and Spain, where she met her now husband. They moved back to Boise in 2018, and have since been joined by two adorable little boys. Brianna is a passionate person who enjoys just about anything she can do with the people she loves, such as cooking and sharing food with family and friends, spending time outside, and having spontaneous dance parties in the kitchen.

Charlotte Salviejo

Charlotte moved to Boise to finish her business degree at Boise State University in 2011. She fell in love with the Treasure Valley & it quickly became home. In the fall of 2020, she married her husband, Alex, a Boise native. They welcomed their precious son, Luca in April 2023. During the day, Charlotte works as a marketing associate for a property management company. In her free time, Charlotte can be found moonlighting as a bartender/server, attending church & Bible study, heading to a workout class, or walking with a friend. Follow Charlotte on Instagram.

Emily Fisk

Emily Fisk is a Boise native with a rebellious backyard garden and a love for the outdoors. She’s a marketing strategist and writer, and while she’s held titles like Global Marketing Manager and traveled all over Europe for work, her favorite title is Mom. She has two incredible kids who surprise her every day and make her grateful to be alive. Her partner of over 15 years is her biggest cheerleader, and her friends know her best for feeding them and talking their ears off. She’s a proud founding member of a (totally cool, not-at-all nerdy) writing club.

Emma is a mom to two beautiful girls, Alice (2018) and Avery (2021). She loves all things Taylor Swift and picking up new hobbies. Embroidery, reading, and sourdough are her go to, but she is willing to try just about anything. She has a background in early childhood education and has worked with children since 2018.

Erin Rodriguez

Erin and her husband have two kids (2012 and 2013) who keep them very busy. Her family moved to Boise in 2020 from Phoenix and loves the four seasons and the many outdoor activities. When she's not driving her kids around to multiple sports, you can find her practicing aerial arts or simply reading a book. Erin loves to travel with her family as often as possible. She is delighted to be a part of Boise Mom and can't wait to share her experiences with moms in the Treasure Valley.

Hannah is married to her high school sweetheart and is so lucky to be the mother of three amazing children (a daughter and two sons), two through adoption and one through IVF. Motherhood did not come easily for her and that is why portrait photography was a natural choice for her career. She is a photographer specializing in motherhood and milestones.It is a pleasure to work with families and create beautiful art for their homes. She finds such joy in her work. Kaelyn Hansen is a registered nurse and holistic health coach living in Boise, Idaho. She is married to her college sweetheart Shayne and they have two kids and one crazy pup. Through the years she has found a passion in empowering women through writing, which led her to start her own blog and contribute to Boise Mom. If she isn't writing, she's probably reading, enjoying time with her family, or planning their next adventure.

Kassandra, Boise-born and raised, is a storytelling supermom to five, including a beloved stepson. She independently authored “Before You: A Book for Stepparents and Stepchildren,” inspired by her own stepfamily. Balancing life’s ups and downs, from coparenting to motherhood, she champions the unique love in blended families. Equipped with degrees in English Writing and Communication, Kassandra is also a budding social media influencer and podcast enthusiast who loves outdoor adventures, horseback riding, and getting lost in a good book.

Laura Mundy

Laura Mundy of Crooked Trails Counseling is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) who has a passion for supporting teens, young adults, and the moms who love them. Laura was a middle and high school counselor for 12 years prior to opening her own private practice. She has lived in Boise most of her life, earning diplomas from Boise High School, The College of Idaho, and Boise State University. She currently resides in the North End with her husband and two kids. She loves to mountain bike, snowboard, camp, and road trip with her fam.

Mel Swenson

Mel is a stay-at-home mom to two boys (2013, 2016) and one girl (2019). She loves all things vintage--movies, music, clothes, art, furniture. Her hobbies include thrift shopping, reading, writing, cooking, decorating for every holiday, British television, and art. She loves to do crafts and science projects with her kids and go on "food adventures" with her husband. She is a proud BYU grad and former rugby player. Go Cougs! Volunteer work, infertility, pregnancy loss, dyslexia, and ADHD are some of the issues and causes close to her heart. And, fair warning, any conversation with her will include a quote from "The Office" or "The West Wing," a Taylor Swift lyric, and/or an obscure Brit Lit reference.

Penélope Larsen

Penélope hails from the Dominican Republic and grew up in Richmond, Virginia. She studied business, hospitality and tourism management, psychology, and marketing, earning degrees from Idaho State University and Brigham Young University-Hawai'i, where she met her Boise native husband. Exploring the Greenbelt with her husband and 3 children is Penélope's favorite Boise activity. Part of her mission in founding her training and travel business - DIA Group is to help others develop self-acceptance, increase professional skills, grow confidence in personal communication, and connect with communities through Discovery, Immersion, and Amplification.
